Hi, I am Rebecca... but you can call me Becky.
I am a freelance designer in Manchester (England). Southern born, but have found a Northern home.
I am currently only working 2 days per week while my daughter is very small. I welcome enquiries, but my capacity for projects is limited, and projects with a very short deadline may not be feasible. I also won’t be checking emails everyday!
I have worked on projects across a full range of design including branding and logo design, all sorts of print design such as brochure design, posters and flyers, including large format and exhibition design, plus design for websites.
Before going freelance in 2013, I gained 2 years agency experience plus placement know how following my graduation in Graphic Arts and Design from Leeds Met University.
I am able to work from my colourful desk or to work in your studio, just get in touch to find out my availability right now.
I love design and illustration and it seems to find its way into everything I do whether I’m actually working for cold hard cash or not. I believe in simplicity and strive to get the best outcome for every project I tackle. I’ve been praised for my ability to fill in the blanks and quickly get the gist of a brief, however complex. I like to think ahead and try to see everything I do in the context it will exist now and the way it will be used and seen in the future.
Some of my skills:
Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop: all good
- while not a certified expert user, I would put myself in the mid-advanced level (and always trying to improve!)HTML & CSS: only very basic coding skills
- for personal projects and the odd tweak- I leave the development to either your experts or mineÜber organised
Up for some hard graft
Always looking at the fine detail
- both in designs and keeping an eye on copy for typos if neededAnd much more besides
- including being able to do the splits, but that doesn’t help make me great design all too often. One day maybe...
